Emily Cooper knows how much courage it takes to explore the world on your own, and she’s using her platform to help other women find their inner strength. The mastermind behind the popular food blog Emily Eats and Explores visited many epic destinations on her own and she wants to empower other women to do the same.

Cooper got her master’s degree in public health in 2018 and it didn’t take her long to secure her dream job as an epidemiologist. About a year later, she took her first solo trip to Denmark and Sweden and found herself craving more adventures. She decided to take a break from work and embark on a backpacking trip in mid-2020 but had no idea her six-month sabbatical would eventually turn into a successful career.

After her story gained traction on social media, she eventually decided to quit her job and travel the world full-time. Her Instagram page attracted over 120,000 followers in just three years, and she’s using her platform to encourage other solo female travelers to hit the road.
