Cat lovers like to make their affection for their feline companions pretty obvious, and Hiroko Kubota is here to help them out. This Japanese embroidery artist became a true sensation thanks to her collared shirts decorated with cats peaking from pockets and other unexpected places.\n\n\n\n

Kubota\u2019s son was her main source of inspiration when she started stitching together the shirts, which brought her viral fame. She struggled to find store-bought clothes that fit his small frame, so she decided to start making her own and came up with a way to make them extra fun.\n\n\n\n

The idea for shirts with peekaboo cat details actually came from Kubota\u2019s son, who asked her to embroider a cat peeking from his breast pocket on one of the shirts. She enjoyed the process so much that she kept doing it, stitching together similar shirts for her customers and attracting over 20,000 followers to her Instagram page.\n\n\n\n
