If you think that modern logo designs are too simplistic and lack creativity, you\u2019re not alone. A lot of people believe that previous eras, especially the \u201880s and \u201890s, were more imaginative and better at producing more captivating design solutions.\n\n\n\n

One of them is graphic designer Kostya Petrenko, who is a self-proclaimed \u201cretro design enthusiast.\u201d Petrenko is using his love for retro design as an inspiration for a fun project that sees him giving modern logos a retro makeover.\n\n\n\n

In his artworks, Petrenko takes the original idea behind the logos of businesses like Netflix, Spotify, Instagram, Duolingo, and YouTube and presents it in a way that designers from several decades ago would.\n\n\n\n

For example, for his retro YouTube logo design, Petrenko took the signature \u201cplay button\u201d and placed it inside a vintage TV console.\n\n\n\n
