Don’t you hate it when you want to relax with a game of Connect 4 but have no one to play with? Well, a woman named Hailey Adair found a way to solve this issue by teaching her dog Darrell how to play the game.
In a viral video shared on TikTok, Adair and Darrell can be seen having one of their Connect 4 sessions. Darrell picks up the pieces, chews them a bit while he is tinkering with his next move, and then expertly slides them to the appropriate place.
“He may be “just a dog,” but he’s the one who plays Connect 4 with me when I want to escape the world for a bit,” it says in the text placed across the video, which received close to 4 million views.
Other TikTok users were amazed at Darrell’s abilities and hoped that he managed to win or that Adair would at least let him have it.
“please tell us you let him win,” one TikToker commented.
“you better let him win,” another added.
Adair later explained in the comments that sometimes she lets Darrell win, and other times, the dog lets her get a win. She also shared several follow-up videos showing more of their playtime.
