Architect and designer Federico Babina recently presented an intriguing new project in which he imagined letters of the alphabet as animals.

As part of the project, fittingly titled Wildphabet, Babina transformed the shapes of letters to be reminiscent of animals whose name starts with a particular letter.

For example, the letter “A” was turned sideways and given teeth to represent an alligator, the letter “B” received claws and signature ears of bears, while the letter “P” was turned into a wobbly penguin.

Babina managed to think of an animal design for each of the 26 letters to create Wildphabet and each one is easily recognizable. He also put together a video in which he showed the creation of the letter while showcasing the entire Wildphabet.

Babina, who was born in Italy but now resides in Spain, is known for a variety of unusual projects. He previously did portraits of celebrities using wires, designed houses inspired by famous movies and books, and much more.

“I like trying to explain the world I see through different techniques of expression. I like the richness of the language and the diversity of its forms,” Babina shares on his website.
