When Olivia and Dan Nguyen decided to travel the world, leaving their cats behind wasn’t an option. Sponge Cake, Mocha, and Donut became known as the “Dessert Trio” and their globe-trotting adventures are taking Instagram and TikTok by storm.
Dan and Olivia welcomed Scottish Fold cats Sponge Cake and Mocha and a British Shorthair cat Donut into their lives in 2020, and they describe them as their “pandemic babies”. They were raised as indoor cats, but it didn’t take them long to get used to the outside world, and New York City became too small for them after a while.
From boating in Lake Como to prancing outside the Louvre Museum, this adorable trio has done it all, but how did their owners decide to take them there? It all started with their first international trip to Paris in 2021, and their photos and videos from the journey immediately went viral.
A few years down the road, the Dessert Trio is still exploring the world with their owners, and they have a joint following of 2.5 million people across TikTok and Instagram.
