Giulia Rosa’s Illustrations Explore the Twists and Turns of Everyday Life

Every day brings its own set of challenges our way, and it’s nice to know you’re not the only one struggling to carry on. Giulia Rosa’s relatable illustrations are helping people feel less alone during their darkest moments by exploring the twists and turns of everyday life.

Rosa is an Italian illustrator, whose decision to keep her work 100% real and honest helped her build a community of 700,000 Instagram followers. She enjoys using her body of work to explore a wide range of topics close to her heart, from body positivity and double standards to mental health.

Rosa’s drawings will give you a peak inside her head, and she describes them as her personal venting session that allows her to show the twists and turns of my everyday life.

“I’d love for people to be able to relate, to go ‘Hey, that’s totally me!’ It makes me feel less alone. There’s an Italian saying: ‘mal comune mezzo gaudio,’ which roughly translates to ‘a trouble shared is a trouble halved.’ It’s all about finding common ground and sharing the load, you know?” she told Bored Panda.

Even though she’s no stranger to exploring the dark side of life, Rosa’s style is pretty lively and vivid since she enjoys experimenting and playing with color. In addition to sharing her work online, Rosa also illustrated several books and created a series of products inspired by her drawings, including prints, puzzles, phone cases, tote bags, and more.
